I have always been interested in what the jewelers saw in their little eyepiece when I would go into our local jewelry show when I was young. When my life took a different direction in my late 30’s I decided to check out my interest with the help of my friends, family, and friend’s aunt who owned a successful jewelry shop in my hometown of Virginia. She gave me the information for G.A. Gemologial Institute of America and I enrolled.

I started in Eveleth with the name of Steblay Jewelry; five months later I changed the name to Suzanne’s Jewelry. I left Eveleth almost two years later and relocated on Virginia’s Main Street and stayed there for 5 years. I have been in my current location at the Thunderbird Mall for 17 years.

I was a one-woman operation for one year; I now have seven employees.

Pat Rogers came to my store in Eveleth 24 years ago with his knowledge of goldsmith and he has been with Suzanne’s ever since.

We are a full service jewelry store in Minnesota: Engagement rings, Appraising, restyling, jewelry repairs of all types, watch repair, watch batteries, and we check and clean all types of fine jewelry.
